Falling in Love with Costume Jewelry... Again...

Many of us who adore fine jewelry give little credit to anything else in the jewel realm. I'm now feeling guilty. After a recent trip to Manhattan and gazing in wonder of the prices costume jewelers are demanding for a piece of faux ... finery ... I had to rethink my prejudices and/or snobbery. I am now appreciating my vintage costume accessories with new admiration. Reevaluation is the beginning of my 2020 mantra. Seeing something taken for granted in a new light; vintage #costumejewelry specifically.

Across the isle of NYC in most any finer boutique, department store or virtual shop you wind up in or wander into, an average piece of costume jewelry runs about $250.00 and some of those price-point pieces were on sale! I don't know about you but I've lived and collected new and old (vintage) since the late 1970's and nothing is better made than older items, most older items that is. My quest this year for my #EtsyShop #MaisonettedeMadness will be for good vintage costume jewelry at affordable prices.
